RF Design Engineer

Role Description:

Responsible for Overall RF system design, development of associated Hardware, including component selection, schematic design and system integration.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, modify and evaluate RF components or RF integrated circuitry
  • Determine design approaches and RF parameter validation
  • Aanalyze equipment to establish operating data
  • Design RF transmission lines and passive elements like filters for the RF Circuit, prepare schematics using the architecture for various RF analog subassemblies, simulate the RF architecture to evaluate the performance of the circuit, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results, select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
  • Work on components, Key Characteristics of parts, processes, techniques, methodologies, tools and equipment used with an enhanced focus on cost, safety, quality. Implement industry standards and best practices within the domain.
  • Demonstrate ability and flexibility to manage multiple and significantly complex projects, respond to RFPs independently with high level of autonomy and accountability for results.
  • Support actions to minimize risks.
  • Ensure the company and customer intellectual property is protected.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to support Test Jigs/Rigs, PCB layout Engineer, Board Bring up, Card level testing, ATE for Airborne
  • Ability to design and develop firmware and software architecture at system level for LRUs, Controller Boards, Test Jigs/Rigs, ATE for Airborne, Defense and Ground Applications, Knowledge of DO-178 preferred
  • Knowledge of system level design and development from conceptual to implementation including interface design, connection diagrams, integration and testing.
  • Ability to interact with customers for requirements collection, technical coordination, RFP response,
  • Unit level Qualification and Certification, exposure to ESS, SOFT and Qualification Tests at Card level and Unit level.
  • Experience in RF Design and Development, Mixed Signal Boards, Controller Boards, Defense and Ground Applications
  • Knowledge of DO-254 preferred

 

Educational Qualification:

  1. Tech / B.E. in Electronics/Telecommunication, Electrical with minimum 3 years’ experience in RF design
  2. Tech in Electronics/Telecommunication, Electrical with minimum 2 years’ experience in RF design

 

Work experience:

  • Experience in Component selection, Interface design for RF systems
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace standards
  • Knowledge of DFMEA
  • Strong engineering experience in Hardware design and development
  • 2 + years in Aerospace & Defense, Automotive or Industrial applications
